ADDITIONAL NOTES

I have different ideas on how to hack a camera that interest me.
- warmth camera
- infrared camera
- my scanner camera
- combine sound and photo

While working on the branches again i found myself very interested in interpretations. All people have a different way of seeying the world and experiencing life.
I worked on a project where i gave people 3 descriptions of 3 photographs and let them paint the picture so in the end i would recreate those pictures and have a bundle of different intrepetations of the same description. For my plusplan i worked with sounds + image and came to realize i really like this. Working and playing with different senses.
How does sound change an image?
Can what we see or think about an image be changed by sound? Can a certain sound trigger a certain image vice versa.

The other 3 i did experiments for
Experiments with the warmthcamera. Trying to hack my camera for it to become infra red. And pick up my home made scanner camera.
For these 3 i have a hard time finding a concept. I was leaning towards memories or emotions. But i am just not sure yet and i want the hack that i will choose compliment my concept and not think of a concept afterwards. What can a warmthcamera bring to my concept? Or what can infrared bring to my concept? Etc.

So i feel most passionate about the image and sound but i was wondering what you think i should continue on.

to I want to hack a camera by breaking one. Without the curtain in an analog camera it will function as a scanner if you keep loading the film. My concept is about taking the place of my non existent brother. It's about memories that would not exist and would exist at the same time, if I would have been the one that did not survive.

...

While working on this i remembered that i used to scratch out my face on photographs. I have a small collection of these still. For me, i hated (slowly getting over this) to be in pictures or have pictures taken from me (definitely didn't appreciate photographs back in the days) . It started at age 10, if i am right. I wanted to disappear. Scratch myself out of these memories, scratch myself out of this world. And so, I experimented with blocking out my face on pictures of my early childhood. I think i got inspired to do this by Willem's webcam girls and Kelsey's branches assignment in the process of this. Keeping the photo while erasing the head makes me question if he would have survived, would some memories still have been the same in a way? Similar pictures with a different face.

I chose not to share more notes from this project cause most of them are very personal.
Since I would not want to show this to a big audience but just use as my own little process, I found it hard to transform my notes to a audience text about the process and research.
